Mihajlovic Happy because “The Rooster” Does not Move
Torino coach, Sinisa Mihajlovic, admitted very happy because Andrea Belotti did not move. The club insists it will only release players with the nickname Il Gallo aka The Rooster if anyone wants to redeem the clause of his release of the contract.
Torino fenced the 23-year-old striker with a release clause worth 100 million euros (about Rp 1.557 trillion). However, such clauses can only be activated by clubs from abroad. This is what makes AC Milan never get the signature Belotti Rossoneri because the offer is always rejected.
“Belotti suffered a bit of injury so he missed the friendly against Guingamp, he is relaxed and I am very happy because he is with us,” Mihajlovic told reporters at a press conference.
“The president is clear: redeeming the release clause from abroad or not, there is a relationship between respect, confidence and compassion, I am very satisfied with the work being done and for the last three weeks.”
“If we manage to improve on all aspects of the individual, then our season could be better than the last.”
During the transfer market this summer, Belotti attracted the attention of several European elite clubs. In addition to Milan, two English clubs namely Chelsea and Manchester United, also want to have it.
But the last two clubs have managed to get a new attacker. Chelsea bought Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid while Man United picked Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
Last season, Belotti included a sparkling player in Serie A as the Italian international striker collected 26 goals and eight assists in 35 Italian league matches. Overall, Belotti presents 28 goals from 38 competitive matches that dilakoni Torino.
